Snake Pro is a sleek, modern, and fast-paced reimagining of the iconic arcade classic. Built with a minimalist, high-contrast dark aesthetic, it strips away the clutter to deliver pure, adrenaline-pumping gameplay.

Starting as a compact 3-segment serpent, players must guide their snake through an enclosed $20 \times 20$ grid to collect randomly spawning energy matrix points. But beware: this isn’t your average casual game. Snake Pro features an aggressive dynamic scaling system that turns a test of patience into a high-speed test of reflexes.

Objective

The goal is simple yet infinitely challenging: Achieve the highest score possible. * Navigate the grid to consume red orbs.

• Each consumed orb increases your score by 1 point and grows your snake by 1 segment.
• Survive the escalating speed tiers without colliding into the grid walls or yourself.

How to Play

💻 Desktop Controls

Desktop gameplay offers precision keyboard tracking. The game automatically locks browser scrolling so you can focus entirely on the grid.

• Move Up: Press the Arrow Up key.
• Move Down: Press the Arrow Down key.
• Move Left: Press the Arrow Left key.
• Move Right: Press the Arrow Right key.

⚠️ Note: The snake is physically incapable of making immediate $180^\circ$ reverse turns (e.g., pressing Left while moving Right will be ignored to prevent accidental self-sabotage).

📱 Mobile Controls

(Note based on the current source code: The current version uses hardware keydown listeners optimized for desktop play. To play seamlessly on mobile, an update adding touch swipe gestures or a virtual D-pad overlay is recommended for full mobile compatibility.)

• Dynamic Speed Escalation: The game starts at a manageable baseline speed (7 ticks per second). However, for every 5 points you score, the game engine permanently increases the velocity ($+1$ speed tier), rapidly elevating the difficulty.
• Smart Food Spawning: Food placement algorithms guarantee that new data points will never awkwardly spawn underneath your snake’s current body layout.

Pro Tips for High Scores

• The “5-Point” Rhythm: Because the speed increases exactly every 5 points, mentally brace yourself right before collecting your 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th orbs. The sudden jump in frame pacing can catch you off guard.
• Coil Management: As you grow longer, avoid cutting across the middle of the board. Try to loop yourself tightly along the outer walls or follow your own tail closely to maximize open grid space.
