You have been weaponized with the 360° Orbital Spectrum Shield. Your directives are absolute: intercept, match the frequency, and protect the Core at all costs. A single mismatch will breach our defense matrix. Stand fast, watch the perimeter, and hold the line.

Game Description

CHROMA CORE: 360 is a high-octane, minimalist rhythm-action arcade game where color-matching is your only lifeline. Positioned at the center of a dark grid, you control a rotating orbital shield tasked with defending a vulnerable white core. As waves of neon Cyan and Magenta enemies rush inward from the edges of the screen, you must rapidly spin your shield and switch its color identity to match incoming threats. What starts as a steady pulse quickly escalates into a frantic, mesmerizing dance of speed, reflexes, and pattern recognition. How long can you survive the rhythm of the Core?

The Objective

Your primary objective is survival and high-score optimization. Protect the central white Core from incoming enemies by destroying them on impact with your shield.

• Points Gained: Successfully block an enemy with the matching shield color.
• Damage Taken: Missing an enemy entirely or blocking with the wrong color drains your health bar.

The game ends immediately when your health matrix reaches 0%.

How To Play

💻 Desktop Controls

• Aim / Rotate Shield: Move your Mouse across the screen. The shield automatically rotates $360^\circ$ around the Core to track your cursor.
• Switch Shield Color: Left-Click or press the Spacebar to instantly toggle between Cyan and Magenta.

📱 Mobile Controls

• Aim / Rotate Shield: Drag your finger anywhere on the screen. The shield will smoothly rotate to follow your touch position.
• Switch Shield Color: Tap the screen with a second finger, or use a quick double-tap (depending on your preferred layout) to switch colors on the fly.

Core Mechanics: Color Matching

Success in Chroma Core relies on perfect synchronization:

• $\text{Cyan Enemy} + \text{Cyan Shield} = \textbf{Destroyed!}$ (Score increases)
• $\text{Magenta Enemy} + \text{Magenta Shield} = \textbf{Destroyed!}$ (Score increases)

⚠️ Failure Conditions: If a Magenta enemy hits a Cyan shield (or vice versa), the shield shatters temporarily, allowing the enemy to breach the Core and deplete your health bar.
